Somewhere in a shed in Belgium

Post by toddao »

Another thread from the French BX site. They're going silly for this car because of the rare colour - Vert Cali. Very nice it is too, don't think I've ever see that on a BX. Apparently it's in Belgium and has been for sale since 2004 but no-one can make contact with the seller! But now one of them's determined to get it bought. Let's hope. Strange rubber spoiler too.

Nasty colour, and a nasty interior but it'll be good for someone no doubt.

Nasty? I think that is stunning! I've never seen that dash on a MK1 (or a MK2!). Anyone know anything about it?

Looks like a standard Mk1 19GT dash to me :?
They think it's all over, it is now!

Tourist why do you think its a NASTY colour ?

I think it suit's the BX a treat almost as nice as the Onyx or Champagne colours !
It also has some nice rare Alloy's and even a Greenish rear bumper, but as it looks like its had a slight front left side knock on the corner (I could not use the acronym N/S/F as its a left-hand drive) it may need a new front bumper which could be difficult to source !

Rob-81,
Tend to agree with you first comment 'Stunning' and the reason why you have not seen that dash in a O/E MK2 is because it's a MK1 (But left hand drive of course) and as its a GT model it does have a 'Normal' type of dash with a needle REV counter ! The DTR models had a row of lights as the REV's increased (I have one of these DTR MK1 type instrumentation pods if anyone needs a replacement, PM me). But I must admit an all grey interior would probably suited it better :!:

Ah, I didn't realise the GT's had that sort of dash. I have seen plenty of MK1's but only with the revolving drum type dash. You learn something everyday!

Just don't really like it personally, I think the BX looks better in shades rather than colours 8)

I like that.

Looks like it has not moved in 20 years-but definately dry stored, so probably no tin worm to worry about.

The alloys were an option in the accessories catalogue.

I hope it goes back on the road.

Love that colour, but asides that its just a standard GT with alloys, as is the spoiler, same colour interior as the GT i saw in a breakers last year, available in grey blue or brown tweed until 86MY when they went to CX GTi stylee black 8) . Looks like its had a "tap" on the front, cant say its worth a great deal in that state buts its mendable, my car wasnt mcuh better when I got it.

thats a gorgeous colour, and the wheels really set it off. the interior in brown is cool and retro too. done up that would be absolutely stunning.

I like the colour - even the 'retro' interior makes a pleasant change from the blacks, charcoals and greys we usually get.

I certainly wouldn't buy a new car in that colour........ but a mid-eighties BX? Nice! 8)

I love that interior. You'd never decorate your living room in the choice of black or black that we get with car interiors these days, but I can quite imagine owning a brown sofa!

That is a fabulous car! I also love the colour - light bright metallics are my fave for Mk1 BXs (mine is 2CV red  )

Also, the 'tabac' colour for the interior is my absolute fave for the Mk1 but I prefer the drum speedo/LED tacho set up for Citroen purity (mk 1 BX dash was Michel Harmand's last cool dash at Citroen I believe)

My Ideal BX colour is actually white, Mk1 'TR' spec with the tabac interior. and those alloys^^
