Re: Colour code for black side moldings - BX Break
Good progress, especially in the winter months when most of us leave renovating BXs well alone. Many have tried to reduce the noise level but with varying degrees of success. My solution to this is to have a more powerful sound system that can be turned up enough to mask the 1980's noise level with music of a similar vintage listened to by additional speakers installed in the parcel shelf, doing away with those tiny C panel speakers and putting more robust ones in the front doors.

The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

Re: BX Break TZS renovation
Hello ! Forgive me for disappearing from the forum, but I had some health problems (including a hernia) that stopped me. But here I am again.. since the beginning of August I have started work on the BX, finally dismantling the engine!
A difficult job to removing the axle shafts, it made me waste a lot of time, but then with a long lever, I solved it. Subsequently, after a good job, I finally managed to remove the engine! a great satisfaction. I immediately noticed some problems, fortunately minor:
- broken pressure plate lever
- broken flywheel rpm sensor support
Now I have taken the engine to the workshop, and they have started to dismantle it, it seems in good health, I will fit new Tarabusi rods and pistons.

Re: BX Break TZS renovation
I will have to replace a half-shaft, the left one, as it has problems with the bearing (I don't think I can replace it).
Finally a doubt: I noticed that a screw of the cylinder head remains "high" and does not go into contact with the cylinder head: checking on the internet I noticed that it needs a spacer..coincidentally it was missing :S
Can anyone give me the dimensions of this spacer, so that I can have it made in the workshop?

Re: BX Break TZS renovation
In the meantime I couldn't resist trying to mount the front lights
I'll have to fix the frame a bit because it was in an accident on the left side, but it can be fixed (the bumper doesn't fit well in the guides).
