bank holiday weekend so off down to Sussex tomorrow , dads going to check the car over and change the oil and filters again ,

Im not sure if I mentioned it before but dad binned the tyres that the bx had been standing on in the barn and got a set of very good partworns for £50 including fitting and balancing ( its good to have contacts) they look like new and have loads of tread

Indeed. I'm also pretty sure they rented the camera from a 1970's BBC set

err ok , back on topic ,

Im back from me hols ,

had a great time camping near Kings Lynn with my girlies ,went body boarding and wind surfing at Hunstanton and drove to Great Yarmouth while we were there.

car behaved perfectly and because of it I bumped into a guy called Mick and his family ( he's about 50 ) just came over and started chatting about BX's

He said he has owned a few bx's in the past ncluding a 19 TRS two GTis and a phase two 16 valve ,

turns out he also knows Doc

Not wanting to cast doubts on the integrity of this guy Mick, but are you sure he wasn't trying to chat you up? I'm sure I've heard stories if he's the Mick I'm thinking of...

I dont think so , not with his wife and kids there, he's a charming guy though ( bit old for me to be honest )
