Thanks Mat. I was hoping that was what it was but I didn't want to look dumb as it seemed to have an extra bend in it! The 16v is parked 1km from here so I couldn't easily go and check it.
As for the prize, how about a couple of bottles of Fürstenberg? It's in the fridge here nicely cooled, if you set off now..
( I actually went to the open day at the Fürstenberg brewery last Sunday. Good to see where my favourite brew gets made, even the wife and the baby enjoyed it - it's been wetting whistles for a mere 750 years!)

where does it bolt onto then kitch, does it bolt into the block its self? I kind of remember it bolting onto the upper, and then bolting down into the top of the head somewhere. The way the lugs are orientated on the one in the picture it would have to bolt directly onto the back of the block wouldnt it?
Citronut asked
The number doesn't register, I've already tried. What would one of these be worth new then? Am I likely to ever need one? Current price on Ebay.de €5. Seller says it is for a BX but that's all he knows apart from the number which is 96008095 ( seems to lack a letter prefix) - perhaps someone else will have more luck?do you have the part No. and i will run it by service citroen

On our 16v engine it bolts onto the cam cover so the bleed nipple is uppermost. The straight end comes past where the pulley on the exhaust cam would be on a HP equipped car, and the double bent end points downwards at the cambelt end towards the waterpump. There may well be different pipes on different 16v engines - ours was from a 405 Mi16x4.

It bolts onto the two mounts at the back of the cam cover. It goes underneath another one, which uses those shite c-shaped clamps and rubber bungs.Vanny wrote:where does it bolt onto then kitch, does it bolt into the block its self? Unfortunately it's long gone...which is a shame as it looked like it was a tidy car before it was bent round a solid object. I could have sworn it had an engine driven HP pump though, not an electric one. It definately had a hydraulic pump driven from the exhaust cam - perhaps it was the PAS pump.DavidRutherford wrote:I'm after the electrically-pumped LHM setup
Any idea why they put self levelling on it anyway, it's not as if it was likely to be loaded with a load of bricks from B and Q every weekend!
