100k

Post by TB2 »

Took my BX for a 2000 km trip this weekend, cracking the 100k mark :)

Off to another 100k! ;)

And I picked up some Swift 2 rims from a guy near hamburg (complete with anti theft caps). They aren't in good condition, I'll refurbish them in a couple of weeks. But I really like these, especiall in this silver/black combination.

Got big plans for the BX this summer. The rims, soundproofing, putting in the sound system, and there's a huge dent in the underbody with a hint of rust I need to take care of. I wonder how much I'll actually do ;)

Well done Carl - that's a bit of a haul from you to Hamburg! Liking those new Swifts - I think that's the best colour combination. Are you going to run them without the covers?

No I think I'll put the covers on. I didn't know the covers were made of metal as well, thought they were made out of plastic. They also need refurbishing, but I think they'll look goo don the rims.
The guy who sold me the rims has a 2CV and he and his wife are driving Xanthias. They had citroens all their life, and so it comes that he has 5 crates full of BX junk. Lot's of interiour stuff, knobs, handles, many side trims (but all of them bent) and many small parts. I could take what I wanted, but there's wasn't much I needed. Although I got the flexible door handle I wanted for the drivers door and a spare air filter for the heating. I don't even know where it goes or if I even have one. I also got an accessoire brochure. Probably nothing special, I'll scan it sometime soon and post it. But I'm sure remy has already got it in his collection ;)
