I remember that stuff or something like it! Rusty memory syndrome here remembers fitting it to a BX in the past and it looked pretty effective. I have a sneeky feeling I have a picture somewhere that could be scanned of it fiited to a past BX.

Aye Chris.....Demon Tweeks is a REAL blast from the past!

I recall em being the No1 styling addons suppliers, back in the late 70s/early 80s.

I bought a Cherry Bomb back-box from them, to fit my first car (a '67 Vauxhall Viva HB 1256cc with 3 speed aurobox!!!)

What I do is to only include the link up to the end of the long number, thus:

Not the ideal solution but quick.

Tried a heat gun and it seemed to have very little effect, looks like I'll have to have a proper go with a stanley knife which will be very time consuming!

Just a thought my wife had!!

Have you tried using a little Nitromors, or other Paint Stripper "gel"?
It may soften up the remaining plastic enough to make scraping off easier?

lol...yeah!

Usually comes in a smallish (500ml?) squareish can, for about £3-4.
Be careful when using it though.......it is VERY nasty stuff if it gets on your skin or clothing!
Apply carefully with an old paintbrush, leave for a few minutes, then scrape off the paint (and maybe your remaining plasticky bits!). Then rinse off thoroughly with water.

Read the instructions on the can, just to be sure, as it's a while since I've read the back of a Nitromors tin!!!

Nitromoors will most likely chemically damage any plastic it comes into contact with. It's properly nasty stuff.

Well to be truthful I didn't know it did that, but it's covered in warning labels!

I'm wearing gloves and goggles, knowing now that it melts skin I feel a bit worried, but it's doing the trick.

Seems to be working pretty well so far ... I've done the front pair, the plastic/film peeled right off but it still took a little fighting. What did Citroen stick it down with?!

I'm just waiting now for it to take effect on the second pair (rear bumper) then it'll be done.

Just glad to know that you managed to get the job done without the need for a visit to your local A&E Dept!

It is indeed very powerful, and nasty, stuff! However, treated with respect and care, it can be useful to keep tucked away at the back of your garage (cap firmly screwed on!)
