Where can a man lookin a T&T'd BX find one in Ireland. Im in the North so would prefer a uk reged one.

Checked all the usual forums and sale sites. Like tring to find a grain of sand in a hill of salt !!

hens teeth are easier to find the last one i saw fore sale was in the ads for free 18months ago there might be an estate for sale but it will not have t&t

I sold my old mk1 16RS to a guy in northern Ireland a couple of years ago. It was a tidy car, and went so cheap I should probably just have kept it!

He got a plane to the UK, got a train to Eastleigh were I picked him up (he got in the back of my car with his mate, leaving the front one empty and me looking like a cabbie....made my mind up about him straight away!) and took him to the car. He gave me the money without testing it, got in a drove off.

Weirdo!

Hi Gav,

I own the BX that Roger and Citroen7 are talking about.

Where abouts are you? I am near Banbridge.

The car I have is a 1992 1.9 N/A Diesel TGD Estate. Currently working towards getting it a MOT. Welding to boot floor and a CV gaiter are the most obvious things I have come across.

133k miles. Starts on the button and runs very very well. It had sat for 6 months and started first turn of the key after the heater plugs light went out.

The car is currently on Xantia 14" rims with 2 new tyres on the front. The trailing arm bearings have been changed last year. The car also has a towbar which was removed to aid welding. There are some other spares that can go with the car.

Send me a PM on this with your telephone # if you are interested, and I will call you back. The car owes me £250, in its present state that is the kind of money I would want for it. If you want it MOT'd the price will go up depending on what else needs done. I can tax the car at your cost.

Heh, that reminds me of the guy who bought my old GSA Pallas SE - he turns up has a look, smiles and sits in the driver seat. Then say OK! And I was like: " not want to take it for a spin and have a closer look"? to which he replies: " need to beat the traffic"

I insisted on a test drive (!) but I was driving! we got back and he gave me the full asking for it without a hint of bargaining.

Well, I didn't argue.

Watched it's sleek silver shape fade off into the traffic..

That is one of the saddest moments.....especially if it's a car that you've had for some time & become attached to!

When my 2 eldest daughters were small (around 6 & 4), I had to take a Fiat 127 to the yard due to terminal tinworm. The guy just said "park her up at th'end of that row, and chuck us t'keys". I did, unloaded the girls, he handed over £40, and we walked out of the yard, with both girls sobbing their little hearts out! They really loved that little old Fiat!

That's all the welding complete. Towbar back on, and wired up. All thats left is a MOT wash and new CV gaiters (and whatever else rears its ugly head after a closer inspection).
