Newbie with a TZD

Post by MalTZD »

Hi,
I have been lurking for a while after buying my TZD from 'oilman' a couple of months ago.

Its this one:

http://www.bxclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic ... highlight=

Purchased as a daily driver, I was not sure if I was going to keep the car all that long as I tend to get bored and move them on after a month or so.

Hence why I did not register earlier.

But I have been bitten by the BX bug. In no small part due to having covered nearly 5,000 miles in the car in the last couple of months, so far with no issues and a regular 50mpg+

I also like driving something different from the norm and so far I have only seen one other BX on the road since owning her.

I changed all the filters last month and I have a set of Speedlines that will be fitted once I get around to getting them refurbished.

I am looking for a few items to finish her off, namely a set of rear headrest in black, a sunroof deflector and some TZD decals for the C pillar.

This is not my first BX, I have previously owned a White 1.4 Preview and a Black 8v GTi. The Preview being the last one, which was about 10 years ago.

Mal

Welcome Mal. There's nothing quite like driving (or fixing!) a BX. Enjoy.

It seems one of the best examples around. Glad it's got an enthusiastic new owner. Wonder why Oilman sold it! :?

I think I can fix you up with the TZD decals for £5

Please send me you details by PM if you're interested.

Excellent, are they the original size and colour?

The outline of the originals are just visable on the C pillars.

He didn't have that long, odd it stays with one chap for 19 years then the next for a month. You've got a fabulous car there, I hope its good to you and you to it!

Cheers for the comments and welcome chaps.
Hopefully the speedlines I have waiting to go on are being refurbished next week.
I will post some pictures once they are on the car.
