Busy week.....

Post by Jayboy »

I've had a busy week car wise this week.

First of all came the purchase of velosolex50's 19 TZi auto estate on Saturday following his purchase of a TXD Turbo....

which was swiftly followed by the scrap man collecting my scruffy and rotten Ice Blue 19 TZS estate on Tuesday (pics make it look rather nice)....

Image

I also had a phone call to say my 19TD van was read for collection, which I did on Tuesday night.

Image

The van has been fitted with the engine from my TGD auto (also, formerly owned by velosolex50) which now awaits a turbo diesel and manual box....

that will be coming out of this....

Then on Wednesday I bought a ZX Volcane TD

Life seems to be going well at the moment :)

Nice - the TZi auto estate is one of my 'ideal' cars: has it got air con?

Blimey - you don't change much do you? :P

I'm just looking to reduce my fleet, though the BX stays...

It does indeed have A/C and factory alloys too, a rear beast

Shame about that other estate as i LOVE that colour but if you say its rotten then it must be beyond saving

I trust you kept the interior!

A good week of BX activity there! What was wrong with the blue estate? As you say - the photo looks good.

Oh how the camera lies... even the van looks good as abbott says but that has to be one of the roughest BX's I've ever had the joy to behold!

The blue one was rotten in both front door pillars (not just the hinges), and in the boot, and by the rear subframe mountings, and the rear wings due to accident damage, and on the D pillars above the rear lights where the rubber bungs normally support the tailgate.... the list goes on. And very panel bar the front wings, bonnet and roof was damaged in some way or other.

It was fixable, but nobody locally would have done it, and it would have cost a fortune :(

And no Tim, I didn't keep the interior as that was also completely shot having been used as a builders hack for many years...
