I think this year will demonstrate to me the big problem with using a BX daily. Methinks I'm about to run into some serious bodywork restoration bills. Which is a bit unfortunate as I'm none too flush at the moment (s'pose I could always sell the Land Rover and kiss goodbye to 15mpg...)

I am a bit worried. I know that at least one sill is iffy at best and the LH rear wing is looking frilly too with a small hole already discovered under one screenwash bottle. Digging is only going to find more...

So your Electronic automatic stealth dash mounted cup holders are not working then? Have you checked the fuse????

I usually have a bottle of lucozade od diet coke between the drivers seat and handbrake lever. Nice and snug.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

A cycling water bottle fits nicely in the otherwise pointless near-vertical ashtray thing at the rear of the centre console, I find. Cups are another matter - I'm sure there's something aftermarket that will fit.

Can't be too difficult to design a solution for the lack of cup holder. Maybe we should have an informal competition to find the best one? lol!

Best cup holder 'evah' was the large foam O ring they gave away with Coke cans (IIRC) years ago. It was sticky on the base.

You just wedge a can in it. Simple but very effective.
I stuck one on the tray by the clock on my GTI-worked very well.

I have a new one in the loft which I need to stick in the valver.

I expect something similar is available today.

i tried that with a daf truck cup holder but with the screen being cold with the weather it got very steamy/condensated and my metal insulated cup is also taller than a coke can so its a little intrusive to your view. in the saab it has a flat level glove bozx inner when its open so i stuck one to that and it worked great.the slot in front of the radio cover works if you dont want the radio on.

It wedges in there and stays put. Some half litre square section mineral water bottles do the same trick.

A standard 330ml can fits nicely under the stereo ahead of the gearlever. Just need to source a very long straw! Or perhaps a novelty hat with two cans either side and straws..remember those? class eh.
