I am now a proud owner of a 1.4 TGE citroen bx, courtesy of Richard1652, hurrah! What a fab car, I was really surprised at how grippy it is and it's quite nippy, but on the way home it sprang a fuel leak... Rusty fuel lines just under the drivers door but should be more nippy with that fixed, and more economical too...

There will be some questions tommorow!
I'm not a Saint, or a James, but a Tom Saint-James!

Glad you got home ok Tom.Really surprised about fuel pipe though.I would have thought it should of being mentioned as either an advisory or a fail on the Mot .Didnt notice any stains on the drive where she,s been parked either.
Let me know how you get on and im really glad you like her.Hope to hear from you on the forum.Richard.

The fuel pipes do rust through eventually.

I replaced mine last year as they were getting rusty.

As a temporary fix, two jubillee clips and a length of fuel hose to bridge the gap works well.

Enjoy your BX
