yep, celebrate that from this day on, daylight period gets a little bit longer each day. (even though the weather may get crappier, and shortest day is actually 21/12 not 25.) Steve

totally agree with you Kev,

Ale and mince pies for the win ,

After 10 years of lighting up the house for the kids and the neighbours I finally snapped and sold the lot.

best part of christmas is the cheap stuff you can pick up in the sales afterwards

Just curious, but what's the going rate for a job lot of kids and neighbours these days...?

Seems like you are nearly all a miserable load of humbugs.
I always enjoy Christmas, its the only time of year i get a 2 week break, last year it was 4 weeks cos of the snow.
Just been out this pm to get myself 10 cases of Marsdens and some port, will be testing the beer shortly to make sure its ok.
If it is early to wish you all a Merry Christmas, well, i dont give a damn.
I never had a problem with eating n drinking too much, maybe a few of you should try it, you might like it.

Have a goodun y'all.

I enjoyed The Wicker Man, does that count?

Now I come to think of it, I don't know one person who actually enjoys Yuletide. When I was a piss-head it was a good excuse for increasing my consumption, and it was great to cosy-up in the old pub. Those days have all gone the way of the pub I'm afraid.

Still, I wouldn't begrudge anyone able to squeeze some vestiges of pleasure from the holiday. MERRY CHRISTMAS you bastards.

I think you are a miserable old sod[lol] but i thank you for your Christmas wishes. I think you are a bit out of practice thats all.
Just had a quick beer at the pub with a mate i hadnt seen for ages and he is all for Christmas even though his kids are all grown up. I only get to go for a beer once a week and this is a good time of year for it. Thinking miserable thoughts makes you miserable, just happy thoughts this time of year as Tinkerbell said to Peter Pan and his Lost[Citroen] boys.

I reccomend Taylors 2004 Late Bottled Vintage [LBV] this year. All the pundits suggest it is quite exceptional this year and i agree with them, at £9.99, well worth it. A really good port.

Mull, i hope you enjoy a really good one[and a bottle or 2 of port] this year.
This is one of the best forums to which i have the pleasure to belong, learnt a lot from the freely given information and i will drink to all your health [hic] over Christmas. May you all have a good one.

LIVE kids, it says nothing about dead ones..

True, it is a good excuse to drink more, and I had to laugh att he latest edict on the notice board at work giving tips about dealing with drunk punters.

It's entitled "causes of increased alcohol consumption"
and the number one reason for increased alcohol consumption is:
er, increased alcohol consumption!
So that was helpful.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
