Ok mate, save those mk1 rear wings!!!!!

One has already been transplanted in part onto the yellow break, the other I will try to cut out today.

I was hoping that the whole lot would be collected but no one wants to touch metal around here. I was quoted €100 for the local scrappers to come and collect! And that's only metal they have to process. I know it's different in the Uk, people do come and collect or even help themselves.

Once a year here the 'young firebrigade' go round with a tractor and a huge trailer and collect scrap. I just missed that by two weeks. Gotta get grinding again

Scap value is through the roofin the UK and has been for a good while. Metal theft has got that bad that in the last few weeks the Police have had to masively concentrate on enforcing the law in the scrap yards. Scrap yards are no longer allowed to accept or pay for metal without seeing, coppying and logging official proof of ID. Around Manchester special Police sqauds are regularly and continuously visiting each scrapyard to ensure enforcement. The one I use said they now recieve no less than 4 visits per week and it reaally appears to be working as the good news is the constant gypsie harasment on our Industrial site has all but disappeared.

Can you be forgiven for the heinous crime of cutting up a Mk1 shell??? :( Oh well, I suppose so...could be worse. Just don't do anything stupid like go out and buy a Renault, OK? ;)

Are you thinking dustbin sized pieces to put with your rubbish over the next few weeks then? Or better sill, with the neighbour's rubbish? (The 'compost' ones...)
