I got back on long enough to look at one thread before being logged out again, gave up.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

They don't like BX's and if BX's were winning the vote then they needed a contingency plan!

The final decision is down to Paul and Steph Saville who run the membership side of things, I agree its not "cricket".

It wouldn't have been so bad if they'd have done that in the first place, but this is just poor organisation!

This ICCR rally is beginning to get to me actually. I'll be working when it's on, which is just one of those things - there would be some people having to work whenever they decided to put it on. What's getting me is that there are so many other things not going on next year because it's thought that people will go to the ICCR instead. If it wasn't for the Classic Challenge, I'd be doing very little with the Citroens other than using them to get to old bike events!

That's a ridiculous outcome, Tim. They didn't like the result so did something totally unnecessary - after all if your membership expires after August 2012 - and you renew you'll be carrying around a card with an out-of-date logo on it. Absurd. And totally against the spirit of Club membership. Shame on them.

I don't think I'll renew now.

It doesn't exactly inspire me to join CCC...

Mike - 2CVGB's Registers' Day is going to be beefed up a bit next year, as the club's not holding a National due to the ICCCR. Should be a reet good do. We had a pleasant number of BXs and Gs last year!

Doubt it'll change anything Tim TBH. The way I see it there is one board member that likes the BX. But as an entity the BX is still a second or third class "citizen" to the CCC..

We shall see Chris, I do agree thre is more leaning towards well heeled members with a DS or SM, although Bill Cameron and Alan Wells both have BX's as every day cars and often talk about them fondly.

Fecking ridiculous. I think there's been a slight 'Clarkson' moment at CCC HQ. I trust there will be some back-peddling. well, one would hope so.

As it happens the final decision is down to the Membership secretary's wife, apparently! (I trust she is a paid-up member?). :D

Great. Modern Club. Not.

Well it appears it was all a misunderstanding  scratch...

So the BX will appear on the card after all.
