(Sigh) My date code is on the nearside A post... different as usual.

Thanks to Kitch for the link to the ORGA number cruncher, which told me my St Tropez rolled off the line on the 5 June 1990, a mere three months before registration.

Actually every BX I've ever had, the ORGA no. was/is stamped on the nearside A pillar and the tyre pressure sticker on the offside.

It would be interesting to see how many real twins we have on here surviving that were produced the same day.

In the pictures of Tom's GT the number 2933 is visible on the NS inner wing. Entered this into the ORGA RP calculator and it came up as 19th November 1984. So is the RP number also to be found in this location instead of the A post? :?

I think you missed three point of the post.

Although things are a bit simpler here in NZ with the Licence (tax label) showing the year of manufacture and vehicle make on the windscreen sticker for all to see, plus over in a corner the month/year of first registration.

I think the ORGA number is a really good thing to know especially when ordering parts! Helps with the database search using the VIN number. And for me surprisingly found out that a 1990 car I had was actually built in 1989.

Guess thats what us carclub members are members of the BX club for because we like to know the Birthdays of our cars :)
