If the guy answers his emails then this could be number 4!

Only justification I have is the 19TZS heater matrix, increased coolant usage probably as result of matrix blockage, heavier fuel consumption compared to the TRS, starter motor iffy, The TRS pain the butt to start when cold, Rear wheel bearings on the TRS, Lack of ignition barrel on the TRS (went to the TXD) and starter motor about to go to the TZS when I do the heater matrix. Of course this was topped of the problems with SWMBO jap crap. #-o

Have I found enough excuses you think?

Plenty of excuses, and they're all valid! But my other half would say sell all the broken ones and buy ONE new one - not the desired response!

Done!

We went over to the otherside of the island to collect it yesterday! Not that happy with the drive back home for one thing we ran out of daylight and driving unfamilier roads in NZ at night not my favourite things to do, our route option was to take us the longer way back to avoid the twisty turns and gravel roads that at night would be a bit iffy especially after the rain we had. The wife is a slower driver despite having the faster car and she would not take the lead hence I lost her. Compound that with using two GPS systms (Navman and Garmin) that sent us both in slightly differant directions at one point when we lost sight of each other. I ended up wasting 30 minutes waiting and backtracking for her before realising from a real map what had happened.

Not all smooth saling either in the TXD! The t-piece the garage replaced while fitting my clutch was a bodge job and fell apart, so a little puddle on the sellers drive and a trip into a citron specialist nearby got that sorted which was extreme luck. Intersting conversation we had about a rebored BX16valve and a speedometer needle that got jammed :lol Oh and the rough gravel roads shock loose a nut on the instrument pod. Othe than it was a good run. I have not got to drive this TZS Auto yet but the wife is happy with it. Cosmetically needs some work and considering swapping doors from the TRS to save the painting needed.

So there you have it 4 white BXs now owned by me!

you must have the monopoly on BX's in NZ now surely? I seem to recall from my aussiefrogs days there were a few out there, but that was a few years back so I guess they are dwindling?
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

 I have the monopoly of white ones in the District doubt in the country. According to the NZTA I have 5 registered to me the 5th long gone into parts, until I go into an agent and cancel the registration.

Few years ago I was wondering if any BXs still existed in NZ well 4 here and in the last few months seen another TZS on the Road and a BX16valve (thats rare), that excludes the ones in various states of repair or disrepair at the source of my spare parts.

I dont think they are dwindling just I was looking in the wrong places although with the no longer sourced Octopus pipes here thats going to be the end of many.

octopus is easy to make, of better materials!

Have you ever seen the lovely red phase 2 valver over there? Cant rememebr the guy who owned it, or even if it was the north or south island, but it looked brand new and had no sunroof.

I think I know which one you are refering to! Is that the one with the rebored engine and 180 bhp? Last seen a couple of years ago? If so then yes I have seen it and it not looking that new anymore but quite weathered.

thats the one! Alleged 180BHP although no one seems to have seen any dyno proof of it!
Shame though, when last I saw piccies of it, it looked awesome!
Should probably sign up for aussiefrogs again really, but since the epic fail of their server I never bothered again...

Thats the one the guy has the franchise in Taranaki, runs it as a sole operation since his Dad passed away. Hence how I know I spoke with him the other day. It certainlyy is a shame he has so many cars and like he said he just dont have time to keep it running. I should have got a picture of the showroom because he has a mint purple 2CV in the showroom.

I suspect the guy you are thinking of is Alex (from Wellington) - his dad is Terry Faulkner from Masterton.. (Citroen guru)

He has about 3 or 4 of them 1 or 2 x 8V and 2 or 3 x 16V

The 16V ones are super tidy but the 8V ones are a little rough. Here are his 16V ones

'91 BX TGD - sold then brought back and found to be in a very rough condition - has gone to the great chevron in the sky but had to be done to keep my other 2 on the road
'91 BX TZD - daily driver
'93 BX TZD - recent purchase making into a very tidy example
