What is that banner 'BX The Movie?' - that's great. Have I missed something?

Thats part of my private collection! A present from Brian Drummond a few years ago, now laminated and adorning our pillar.

Many many thanks to all who donated time, actual money and their own fuel costs to make this stand happen. I just booked us a stand. It would have been nothing without the dedication of those who drove many miles to be there. The laminated stuff looked excellent, the cars were spot on and the cake/Cava anniversary celebration went well.

I spent a LOT of time talking to people during the two days I was there. The word 'comfortable' came up a lot and most people I spoke to had owned several back in the day, or had them as company cars. Very well regarded. Makes you realise that the BX was a complete game-changer for Citroen. Sensible enough for any motorist to enjoy it, but still with enough quirks to keep us LHM-geeks interested.

. . . and Tims DTR =D>

Well, I had a great day (all things considered). The stand looked great, the cars looked great, the people were great, infact it was all . . . great!

The phrase I heard the most when chatting to people was 'we had one of those - lovely cars' (which indeed they are), oh and the word 'comfy'.

Pics to follow when I get my camera back from Tim (I forgot it :( )

And those Austin Princesses - just goes to prove that a turd can be polished! Or if you wait long enough any old 'also ran' will be regarded as a 'classic'. I had the misfortune to be ferried to school in one of those by my friend's Dad, shortly before it broke down and rusted back to dust  As for Maestros/Montegos what else is there to say except : does anyone wonder why there's no British car industry?

Good work with the BXs lads!

To be fair, I quite like the Montego. Iffy interior plastics apart (not like we can talk!) they're very pleasant to tool about in. I like Princesses too but then I am a bit odd.

Funny you should say that Todd - it's what I think every morning when I look in the mirror. There's hope for all of us! :D
