BX 1.9 GTI Huricane Black

Post by Dave B1960 »

Hi every, I was the person who bought this car on ebay it is as good as it looked in the photos and drives superb, Patrick Rugg's description was spot on. I would like to take the car up to the ICCCR but I had already booked in our CX so I am trying to persuade my wife to drive it there, but its a long way from Suffolk and she would rather sit back and be a passenger. I've no takers from mates as yet, if I don't manage to ge it there I will have to bribe her to drive it to the X Rally next year.

Hi Tim, thanks for the welcome, I will try to get the car about I am a member of the local Eastern Group of the Citroen Club so should get to some of their meetings and will now look on the BX Forum for any events which are a reasonable distance from Suffolk.

Hi Vince, Thanks for the welcome, the BX is a cracking car it's done 80,000 and is like new inside. It is unmarked outside, I have owned a number of BX's in the 1980's and 90's and loved everyone of them and after seeing all the fine examples at the X Rally this year I decided to look for one. I recently sold a 1957 2CV Riple Bonet so I had a space in my garage. The other Citroens I have are a Mk 1 CX Prestige and my daily drive is a C3 HDI. I hope to get the BX to some shows this year, are you going to the ICCCR I hope to meet some other bx owners there?

Regards
Dave

Dear Dave.
I am so really pleased for you Dave, and that she in such good condition aswell =D> :D The 1.9 GTi is a lovely model to have Dave  Very nice BX,s are getting
very difficult to find these days Dave, so well done 8) 80k still, very low, only just run-
in :)
In the 90,s I was looking at buying a very nice white BX leader :)
One of my favourites then Dave, mk 1 CX and a prestige aswell, =D> 8) very nice
indeed
Sadly Dave, I won,t be able to get to York, as it is a little too far for me, I think the
weather will be great by then and the grounds will be fine for a great show :)
All The Best Dave.

There's a fair number of us going to the ICCCR Dave - thread 'stickied' at the top of the Events section if you haven't seen it already.

Mr Leech of this parish is trying to get a line up of one BX from each year, I'm sure your new acquisition would be a strong contender for that!
