sunroof out..easier than expected

Post by B-Hive »

I have been putting off removing the Tri's badly leaking and rusted sunroof for ages, but thought I'd make a start today..

Hey wow!!, before I knew it I had the whole thing removed within an hour.. I was dreading removing the A and C pillar trims but they popped off quite easily with no breakages..
So now all that remains is to replace the donor unit into the car, which I'm hoping will be just as easy..

BTW 3 of the 4 (edit) drainage hoses were blocked, which I am told is the cause of 90% of sunroof related leaking..

For me, having a BX without a sunroof is a bonus! I'd remove mine if I could. A nice thing in summer though...

Sometimes I think Timex could do with a sunroof to let some of the water out!
