It's not been on the road since 2004 so there's a good chance that it's been broken and scrapped.

The vehicle details for J766 OPC are:
Date of Liability 25 05 2004
Date of First Registration 01 08 1991
Year of Manufacture 1991
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1905cc
CO? Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type PETROL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour WHITE
1991 BX19GTi Auto

Not just the date it came off the road, but the fact it's unlicensed instead of SORN speaks volumes.

There's loads more. According to that dodgey website there are 44 on the road, taxed. SORN....could be around 60-70.

I was guessing about 100 including off road and unknowns. Really any left are worth saving, if feasible, I would think. Its about space and bunts again though, isn't it. Re shelling is a lot of work and never quite the same as a real one. Is there a known sales figure for GB?

I tried to get "official" figures from The New Zealand transport Agency of how many BXs and models of were left in New Zealand. Unlike the UK information the reply got back was "If you send us a cheque for $30 we will tell you".

Of course I do know for a fact that to de-register a car over here you have two choices either you pay $10 or just let the licence lapse a year and they cancel it for free......actually they dont they put you on a blacklist of debt for the previous years Licence fee :p Because of this I have a BX16RS in my ownership all off whats left is parts in my garage and its number plates so the data is not that accurate they want me to pay $30 for.

Wish there was a way to get a better register.
