Anyone know this 16v?

Post by Ennrec »

Hi guys,

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Citroen-BX-G ... SwEEBaEYoR

Possibly a Jersey Reg'd car, just wondering whether anyone knows anything about its past life?

Kind regards,
Eddie.

Why would you run a 16v on an island with a speed limit of 40mph? Very strange choice, but it sounds like a viable explanation.

Yeah, I reckon so. 16Vs are much nicer to drive at lower speeds than the majority of other BXs, as the engine, despite not being torquey, is very flexible. 1,000rpm in 5th gear, no problem, and it'll accelerate smoothly but gently from that.

I took my old TVR to Guernsey a couple of years ago, and it was actually quite nice! But then my TVR is slow...
