Hi Sleepy, unless your first BX is a hermaphrodite, don't you have to wait until the third aquisition to make this claim. :? :D :D

One more thing Sleepy, your latest fleet member is in the best colour too. So much better than common-or-garden red

The only problem is sorting the sunroof it has been sealed shut with silicone sealer badly it is everywhere on the roof so i am going to have to get some of that silicone removing stuff before i can sort that problem, I have spent the day podling I have changed the bumpers for some dark green ones i had lying around so thats the busted bumper sorted i have the brake flexibles ready to do that job then i think it is a case of get the funds and see if it will go through the MOT. :D

Unless your brake flexibles are totally shot, it may be better to wait until after the MOT rather than put yourself under time pressure with consequencial problems & the traditional bleed nipple difficulties. Even if they fail it on them then you can get the free retest within the week from many places.

Well i have had a busy day I have changed the broken bumper as the old one was total scrap.
I then set about the sunroof with a stanley knife after it had been sealed shut with silicone sealer I had to lower the sunroof to reconnect and glue the drain pipes back on but everything is now back in and realigned with a new glass panel as the old one was destroyed upon removal.

As you can see the silicone has been removed off the roof after 4 hours with a stanley blade, Celulose thinners and cutting compound as it was everywhere.

This nail varnish is a good match for Memphis blue it is no 415

Aaron, please will you give me a lesson in setting up the sunroof? My 4x4 sunroof is well out of sync!

Hi ian right first thing with the sunroof shut if you gently push on the rear of the glass panel from inside does it move up and down freely or is it solid.

It moves up and down a little. The problem i have is that when the sunroof 'thinks' its shut it isnt, its still a little open.

I adjust it then manually with the little allen style key and then try again. It just goes back to its 'nearly' shut position.

By the way Aaron, i drove that BX back from London when Tim first bought it. It drives very nicely. You look like you're making a cracking job of its re-furb!

She is rather nice I still have a few little jobs to do then she is in for an mot.
The only thing i can suggest for your sunroof is we will have to meet i can have that sorted in an hour its very easy if you know how but a pain to explain in writing and the haynes manual is absolutely crap.
