MOT Today

It failed, sniff sniff, but luckily i know the mot tester & he fixed the leaking fuel line so it passed in the end. A couple of advisories which i knew about anyway, both front tyres a bit low on one side of tyre....

Booked in next week to get both fuel lines replaced as they were badly corroded, so if one was leaking, wont be long before the other does the same.

The mechanic did mention that the car didnt have a thingy (cant remember what he called it) which meant the fuel continued to flow & would have emptied the tank had the leak continued, anyone know what the device is called? & can they be retrofitted? Bearing in mind with a full tank costing over £50, it would be shame to see it in a puddle on the floor.
