A New Addition To The Family

Post by m_2975 »

G'Day Chaps,

Here's the latest in my BX world.

I bought a BX at a ridiculous hour last night.
It's a Rouge Furio 1993 BX 19TZI, Manual with alloys and factory airconditioning. Just 80k miles on the clock and has had lots of $$$ spent on it in the past 6 months.

The owner was trying to sell it due to it having a destroyed spider gear in the diff which has broken the casing. He couldn't sell it (funny about that!) and was going to strip it for parts which was to me a crying shame as I knew the car last year and it was and still is a very nice example.

It arrives to me on a towtruck tomorrow afternoon and i'll be able to take photos and post them.

You're going to need some diff bits then; What are we to keep a lookout for?

That`s a very nice, straight looking car you`ve got ourself there Michael. I see the curse of the BGS (broken glovebox syndrome) extends as far away as Australia though!
Still, a small price to pay for such a nice car and I expect you`re very happy with it.

Thanks Billy,

yes the glovebox is broken!. I will fabricate some metal hinges for it like I did on my BX Estate.

The other thing that's broken is the hot/cold knob on the console. It's snapped clean off.
