What a lovely set of pictures Alex - really excellent, and so good you and the car safely survived your epic journey south.
I bet the aerial snapped underneath one of the very low Welsh railway bridges; and for those who pointed out the wheel trims - well he's got a set of mint OEDs too, except they're only to be used for Club meetings

I'm so relieved she's gone to a certain future BX Crazed.

Thanks all for such a positive response!

The pics were taken at Hamble Common near Southampton, on a little lane which leads up to Hamblecliff House. There are some car parks which come off that lane with views out over Southampton Water and the Fawley refinery, and I used those to get some good pics, as well as the driveway of Hamblecliff House itself. I must say though, I think the evening light definitely helped me, as it was reasonably dramatic just when I was taking the pics!

The current wheeltrims aren't the most attractive things in the world but they're not supposed to be. A set of mint original TXD trims came with the enormous mound of parts that Gareth let me have with the car too. I'm actually considering the possibility of replacing the current steelies with some 16v alloy wheels for daily use, which will give a wider track, a better stance, and improved grip to boot.

The aerial was one of those most annoying things - I was sitting in the queue on the A34 and poked my hand out of the sunroof to adjust it to try and get better radio reception. Annoyingly, that adjustment bracked had seized, so rather than adjusting the aerial up or down, I managed to snap it off :( There's a new aerial base in with the set of bits though, so it'll be back on there soon enough :)

As Rich said, she does seem to ride slightly high at the front so we're going to have a little squiz at the height correctors at some point in the future. She looks great though, and it feels so good to be back in a BX! :D

Hi all,

Update time, and the TZD has just received a new set of anthracite 16v wheels, shod in some lovely grippy Falken Ziex ZE512's. The wheels are courtesy of the good Doc Chevron - thanks mate!

I bought these both to improve the looks and the stance of the car, as well as to give a better and more stable motorway cruising ability and better grip all round. And I can safely say that they have done all those things!

Gareth, if you're reading this: I hope you approve of the new look, but don't worry too much because I've kept the old steel wheels and the original wheeltrims you gave me!

Anyway, to the pics: some moody shots taken up on Mynydd Meio in the pouring rain, with a bit of hail thrown in to boot. My camera's not great in these conditions, so I apologise for the poor quality!
