just put my steel wheels back on and what a difference, now i know why i never got 17" alloys before.
just got to do rear discs and pads and exhaust + usual fallen off hanging
bracket anyone handy with a welder for apint?

bx is off the road at mo using my gas guzzler galaxy but lure of driving the bx again is getting to me. :D

Steelies and skinny tyres on the non PAS 17TGD are just as easy to drive on as wide wheels on a PAS car. :wink:

Yup.....my TXD actually handles better on 6J Speedlines than on the old steelies. Less drift, holds a straight line better, generally feels firmer hold....and certainly no heavier than on "skinnies" :D

oh most deferenately especially on 195 section tyres just the 17" were tramlining and seemed to make bx crash over bumps and exgarate every rattle but with the taller rubber more comfortable drive now.

Frolliking like a filly in a summer meadow - 500 miles, one tank of diesel (£40), still not on reserve.
Just need to swap the drivers seat and put new heater plugs in before winter. (Oh and find a radio....)

sounds good, by the way it's had glow plugs already i think the cold start is up the chuff or theres air getting in to it??

and they were the a proper make ones i can't remember the name of them :wink:
