2CV run?

Post by stuart_hedges »

I saw lots of 2CVs this morning on my way to work along the A27 to Brighton, including some French-registered vans. Anyone know what the event was?

I read somewhere that this year was the 60th anniversary of the old snail. Perhaps related?

Its the French National Meeting [May1st-4th] at Dunkerque.
They were prob'y all on their way to the Ferry Terminal [although why the French registered ones would be over here eludes me ...................are you sure they were'nt UK reg ones with the no. plates altered] ...........or perhaps it was the French Clubs organising some sorta "visit" [aka "Raid"] over here.
I'd planned on going myself ..............I was gonna book the Ferry from Hull to Zeebruge and drive down the coast ..........but due to wifey going into hospital next week, had to shelve my plans.

Thanks Terry, they were heading towards Newhaven or Dover so that's probably it. Can't honestly remember if they were French plates or French-style plates now that you mention it!

Hope their weather's better than ours for it...
