It's not bad, but could do with a visit to the paint shop to make it perfect. There's a spot of rust in the centre of the OSR door where it's got chipped and the tailgate could do with respraying too as it's all scratched. Rear bumper has been repaired in the past but not very well.

For a car of its age we got a great buy - this was an ebay find a few years ago. Cost over a grand to get it sorted after buying it, even though it had full Citroen history at that point. It needed brakes all round, gearbox had to come off (twice!) to replace the clutch, then replace a failed oil seal on the side of the block. Needed new front struts, few gremlins needed sorting from it being sat around not being used much.

Hopefully it'll get sorted over time, but my dad's now retired so spending shed loads on it isn't really an option!

that's cool dude :D

Does Pete Sparrow still race 2CV? He used to look after my 16V when I lived near Bracknell.....

Always a selection of nutty 2CVs about, including his home made 4WD one!

In case you were wandering, that was us in the silver BX at the lights flashing at you before you shot off for petrol

Did you do the run round London?

I thought that might have been the case-sorry I didn't flash you out but I'd already realised by that point that my headlamps weren't working properly so made a bee-line for the petrol station and a fiddle with the headlamp wiring!

Didn't do the run around London, just headed for home and a shower!

2CV was making an awesome noise! Figured your tank is probably not that big for road use

Here's some pics I took as we were walking around

http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y180/B ... filter=all

Personal favourites were the nitrous CX turbo with gorgeous quality paint job and the H van with 4.2 litre Rover V8, not forgetting the 4 dr DS drop top with Maserati motor

Some gorgeous DSs and Tractions too

I saw a couple of BXs in the various shots from the day,

A gold Mk 1 A476 RBX (which I remember seeing in the flesh at the 2006 or 2007 National) - I wonder who's it is... And one of the VERY early Mk 2's (ex Cit demo) C634 CBX - which is I think Jon Self's recent acquisition?

That gold one was at the 25th year bx anniversary at the national, owned by a scottish chap, i think its been owned since new. Stainless steel full exhaust & the gold paint is a re-spray, which i think looks ace, certainly not standard with the fleck in it :D

Both were entered in the concourse event - I would guess the results may be put up somewhere?

There's reference to the event and a pic in this week's Autocar.

The MK1 belongs to a Neil Parry from Scotland, its done over 200,000 miles (16TRS) and hes owned from nearly new and was an ex Citroen Launch Car and had no major work except the usual clutch etc and a head rebuild.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Great pics, that's the GSX I was offered a while back, I'm sure. If only I could've afforded it!
