Oh yeah, and another thing ... ICCCR = bizarro parallel world, where we're sat around drinking *yet more tea* and suddenly, one of the men enthusiastically says "Let's go SHOPPING!"

 (there were some excellent stalls there to be fair, I picked up handbrake cable and bottom hose and a few souvenirs :D)

Oh, Tim, there was a guy there at 6.30 pm yesterday desperately trying to get rid of a couple of tailblazers as he didn't have room in his van. Would have picked 'em up for you, but £4.50 seemed a bit steep TBH.

Oh yes ... Mike & Mark: nearly forgot - you need to take lessons from Paul on "How to Successfully Use a Self-Service Checkout". I believe there's a 6-week distance learning course available at a discounted rate of £750, with a free BX T-shirt thrown in. The second run for additional food when the first lot ran out (where did all those people come from?! ) went MUCH more smoothly and we didn't have to ask the nice lady to help us ONCE.

Just wanted to say I had a great time, thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it :) It was good to meet people that I've only known by usernames, best bit had to be the convoy drive, just the look on people's faces was worth it  Bring on the SCC next year and hope to see some of you at CXM.

On a side note, we pulled into a service station on the way home and there was an SM parked up, so we parked along side and when we came out there was a chap trying to explain the 'funny up and down suspension' to his two sons

What a superb event. There were not really enough waking hours to fit it all in. Really enjoyed hanging around with the BX crowd. Glad the sneaky BX cavalcade was enjoyed. Had to be done! We're both utterly exhausted but both very much enjoyed seeing those we knew, and meeting those we didn't.

Happily my lazy-charging BX did make it home. An 80mph blat down the M1 seemed to have the battery charged up nicely. Thanks to Sandre for allowing me to borrow the TZD for a jump start this morning...

Was very pleased that the BX's boot was just about able to eat up two four-man tents, that massive gazebo and a 2CV front wing which we collected on the way home. Sadly the clutch judder was unbearable by Wolverhampton and the intermittent PAS started happening again. The list of reasons why I should 'retire' the Mk2 just keeps growing! (the other thing is that BOTH BXs run out of tax this month. FAIL!).

Anyway, t'was a fab event and I'm very much looking forward to 2016 in whatever BX I own then. See you at the tech session or CXM Rally.

I think that was just about everything everyone hoped it would be. The only downsides were the absence of brand new tailblazers at 2 quid each and the BX club Nederland being a bit stand offish. The only time they spoke to us was to ask Mat F to stop setting fire to himself at 4 in the morning: some people really need to lighten up (not Mat though obviously). In an attempt to extend the hand of friendship, I bet Mark £3.50 that he wouldn't wander into their tent and sing, 'The Final Countdown' as loudly as he could. When it became clear he had every intention of winning the bet I agreed to pay him 3.50 not to. Aside from that, it was really fabulous: the weather was perfect and getting to kip in Marks Caravan/BX HQ made it considerably more civilised than it might ordinarily have been (thank you 8) ). The pictures say it all really . . .

Mat doing something clever to his car. It'll never fly of course, but no one had the heart to tell him.

There were lots of Tractions. Many of which were black.

Despite the rather innocent 'brass band/theme from Van der Valk' thing going on here, there was a very clear Agincourt/Waterloo subscript. We can't have Johnny foreigner getting too pleased with himself, and as Mark rightly pointed out, the French are, after all, our natural enemies. :D
