Oh dear Mr Chidlow. Has that GS picture been flipped? Wipers are the wrong way around.

I didn't flip it (in the words of Bart Simpson -"it was like that when I got here") - but my bad: I should've noticed. Next time it appears I'll make sure it's the right way round.

How many BXs can we expect to see on the Challenge?

We can be fairly confident there will be:
• Kermit and I in the Red Baron (19TGD)
• Tim in his Red Shed (19TZD)
• Jaba (GTi)
• Mike E. (16v)
• Anne-Marie ('Daisy' I hope - as opposed to Xantia)
• Mds141 (Mark) (GTi 16v)
• Toddao (Mk 1 TRD)
• Charlotte (BX14 St. Tropez)

...and then there're are the 'possibles':
• Matt Fenwick (hopefully!) (TD estate)
• Dollywobbler (Mk1 estate)
• Max Greenwood (BX please!)

PLEASE let me know if you think you should - or indeed should not - be listed above!

In addition to the above, so far I think we'll have:
4-5 Xantias, 1-3 DSs, 1 SM, 3-4 GS/GSA, 1-2 XM, 1-2 Visa, 1 CX and also, possibly 1 DS3.

Hi all, I thought I'd just remind everyone just how good this promises to be. I expect there to be at least 21 teams taking part in a wide range of Citroëns including DS, GS, SM, Visa, BX, XM, Xantia.

And the route is exciting, giving a proper taste of Alpine driving at a lovely time of year. Mileage-wise it's not strenuous (but for those without PAS it will be good for developing upper body strength!) and the costs have been kept low by making camping the principle accommodation.

So please, if you want to be a part of it, let me know and I can update you on all the latest information.

Phil

At least the Euro is weakening against the GBP. It means the event will be around 12%+ cheaper to UK participants than it was going to be when it was first conceived - and the trend is suggesting it could well be even more beneficial. A big factor when considering fuel costs. Diesel is now in effect 15p a litre less than it was last May - with unleaded being 21p a litre less. That means a diesel BX will use about £200s-worth of fuel for the whole event as opposed to (our budgeted) £238.
