Agreed.

Only problem i have with Xantias though, they aint no BX.

And Tim, believe it or not, i have washed her and polished up on a couple of occasions. But not recently, its just been my workaday car for a while now, so some TLC is overdue again.

Whose BX van is that? Looks good.

Does look like a pleasant day - I was expecting pics of everyone roped together to prevent getting washed away!

Paul's is the tasty Hurricane with slightly over-sized fog lights and lovely silver Speedlines...

Ah yes, very nice it is too that Hurricane. No one knows who the van belongs to then?

As for V6 Xantiaaaaaarse, I think there's someone who's installed that motor into a BX in Holland.. problem solved

Hmm, looks like Sunday was a lot busier than Saturday. :( Shame, I evidently chose the wrong day. I wanted to eyeball an SM in the flesh, too. Never mind, my Tesco Value BX only used a thimbleful of petrol for the 240 mile round trip, so I'll put it down to experience.

I thought the van might be Jay's, didn't he get one from Ireland? I saw a similar one up the road from me a while back in same colour but i think it was a '92, this one's '94.

Some really lovely cars there. The hurricane is very nice, the mk1 TRS a bit of a favourite of mine and Tim's GT looking better than ever. Some really nice CXs as well, better than 2009, the last time (only time..) i was over.

Appetite whetted for 2012.

I don't want to come across as critical, but there were a number of comments about the location not being ideal. IMO a more central location would be best - I'm not too worried personally as wherever it is it will be a long way for me, but a few people mentioned they would have preferred it closer.
I thought Gaydon was ideal, as it was central, had the (free) museum, and shelter from winds! Obviously I don't know what the cost difference was, which is an important factor.

That said, I had an enjoyable time, and felt that the atmosphere was very relaxed. Maybe next time I'll be able to stay for longer!

Closer to who?, you cant please everyone Matt, and it needs to be moved aruond a bit to keep it fair and varied. I had the opposite comments, saying how much every one liked it and what good value it was, regarding Gaydon its ok as a one off, BUT if you went again tomorrow it would be the same cars as last year (and the year before that etc), and bearing in mind it was £9 per adult (free museum??? :? ) last year and the food was extortionate it could have been very expensive if you had a car full!.

I think for this kind of event you need a field with facilities and camping on site or people wander off and you miss them (like I did last year)
