Sadly I'm not going to be able to make it... :(

I've looked at the cash situation, and I can't justify it.

PayPal nicking more than £500 off me hasn't helped (long story, but my advice is NEVER keep funds in your PayPal account. Either spend it quick or transfer it to your bank. In my case, the devious sods waited until I had a lot in there (I usually don't) before they closed the account, seizing all funds therein for 180 days assuming they "don't find any links to any other accounts that may be involved with other PayPal disputes").

Add to this the current joblessness and the fact I haven't managed to sell any of the cars yet... I've got to start being sensible sometime.

Have a great time, and take lots of photos :)

Still not decided myself. If I head up it\'ll be on Sunday but I\'ve got another show in pretty much the same area the following weekend which I\'d rather go to. Not sure if I can justify burning off £140odd worth of fuel over one week! But then the boys have never been to a show in a BX, so there are plus points!

Might see some of you Sunday, might not!

Will hopefully be there on Sunday in the Phase 1. Hasn't been washed for a while, and I'm not gonna get chance pre-show. Will be it's last big outing for a while as it is going away for a bit, so will be nice to give it a run.
'Going away for a bit?' isn't that a euphemism for going to prison? :D Or is it perhaps going to Poland to be restored? Didn't your father have a car restored in Poland?

Yes, it is going away for a bit... Simply to ease my car storage issues while I shuffle around another couple of cars. Needs a bit of work, but a full restoration? It's not that bad!

I concur: the event though nobbled by the weather (as was my gazebo!), Sunday turned out to be a fine day, and the best bit? It felt more like a gathering of enthusiasts than it has for a while. It had a real 'community feel'. Maybe the absence of Citroen UK or car dealers (no offence of course to Roger B) and a 'blitz spirit' approach to the truly appalling conditions on the Saturday made it feel more of a 'Club' with a capital C.

Anyway, thanks to Tim - and the others who made it work. I've certainly made some new friends...

Glad it went well. I decided to abort the mission in the end. I\'d have burned off £70 of fuel at least doing that (and I\'ve got another one next weekend I\'m definately going to in the same are), and the weather wasn\'t too clever either. Plus one of the little men has come down with a fairly heavy cold, so doubt he\'d love the trip even if it was in \"daddies char.\"

Fair play for trying to jump start it though Tim, pitch it up down south next year and I\'ll come and help ya!

^^bx> Congrats to Tim, despite the weather i enjoyed my 1st national. Nice to finally meet some of the BX glitterati, especially to meet the architects of the Bxagon and the upcoming Citroen Classic Challenge, namely the two Phil's[sound's like a comedy duo]. Also acquired a horde of Bx parts courtesy of Graham Morton. Here's to next years events.

Well done to Tim, who was running round like a proverbial blue-arsed fly keeping everything on course. Quite a responsibility, so power to your elbow mate, and good to meet you and Phil.

I think the weather was no help whatsoever. We were intending to camp it on the saturday night but the forecast was enough to make us wimp out and the conditions driving up to Cambridge on the M11 were atrocious.

I expected the turn-out on Sunday to be better than Saturday. I don't know whether more folk did turn up, but on Saturday afternoon there were only 4 BXs on parade with another couple lurking around the corner. Bit of a shame that. Would have been good to meet a few more forum members.

Oh well, till the next time...

Sadly i didn't take any as i was too busy chatting. Total mileage for the round trip was 483 miles.Warning light for reserve on fuel gauge came on 2miles from home. Not bad for a valver IMHO. Will brim tank tomorrow and calculate MPG. Off to bed now shattered.
