17th April Citroen meet!

Post by Philip Chidlow »

CCC East midlands meet

April 17th, to Burghley House. It will be a great chance to see some lovely Citroens, and of course see Burghley House itself.

Parking immediately outside the house in the 'Circular Drive', which is going to cost £4.00 per car, but they are doing a 2 for 1 entry to the house, which saves cash overall! Be there from 10:30 am.

Apart from the house itself, there is a sculpture park, and a water park. There is also a fine food fair on that day for anyone wishing to buy something a little out of the ordinary. For more details of Burghley House itself, please see their website here - www.burghley.co.uk

Let's get a BX turn out! It'll make a great day out if the weather's kind.

In Cornwall, with a bus..
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Pics of the Citroen Car Club meet at Burghley House; As the first meet of the newly formed East Midlands section a very good turn out (21 cars if you include the Megane, Polo and camper van that tried to usurp our 'special' bit of field!)

A great selection of cars, though CXs' and SMs' were conspicuous by their absence - shame! The star of the show (IMHO) was the DS 23 EFi Pallas - I can't think of a superlative that would describe this particular car so 'sublime' will have to do. A good showing of BXs' and a pleasure to meet Mr. Philip Chidlow and co. :D

I can concur, it was great to meet up - and see some familiar faces too. I think - as the first section meet I've been to - it bodes well for other such gatherings. Excellent venue (!) and company. And I have to agree about the DS23; by far the most impressive DS (and most desirable) I have ever seen...

I don't think any pictires I took can add much to what you've already posted Paul, but here are a small selection:

The DS is lovely, no doubt. I do like that yellow Visa though - looks very fresh.

I should hope so, it cost more to build than a decent sized family home!
