HOLY COW!!

Post by mds141 »

I decided to check out prices for staying at a Travelodge, rather than under canvas for the Stratford rally. I though i was booking a room, not actually buying the company itself.

Just had a looksy Tim. TBH the prices on lateroom.com are more than on Travelodge's own site. How was the cxm or whatever it's now called rally. Little Horwood or Little Wetwood again?

It was dry Saturday, not sure about today!

I would try and book somewhere a bit outside of stratford, as its quite a tourrist attraction hence the price.

Try Alcester. We found a pub via laterooms near there that was £35 a room. No breakfast with that, but I never eat my money's worth anyway! About six miles out of Stratty.

It was primarily an eaty sort of restaurant so no noisy pub-goers to stop you sleeping. We stopped there on a Friday night.

Think i'll be sleeping under the stars! Trouble with Travelodge, Holiday Inn et al is they are primarly catering for the business market where everything is put on the expense account. Not for us mere mortals. :x

Exactly why you need to check out some of the more businessy hotels. The mid-week trade disappears at the weekend.

Hi Mark,

I take that its just for the one night only (10/09/11), TRAVEL-LODGE comes up with with a reasonable price @ the Birmingham Airport site @ £20.50 approx. 18.4 miles from CV37 9SE

A bit cheaper than PREMIER-INNS best price of £36 @ Coventry City Centre, 21.6 miles approx. from CV37 9SE (You'll need to put the date into the search field to see the results) .

Best of luck !

:)
