I've got 'crashing space' if anyone's interested - not the Ritz - but better (and cheaper) than a cheap hotel. I'm in Newark - about a 30/45min drive to Burghley up the A1.

I might just tag along to this.... It'll be my 1st 'BX' event... Does anyone want to 'convoy' from Hampshire area?.....what is the postcode of the place?

Please come along, especially if the weather is very good- it's a great venue.

And there seem to be quite a few saying they'll come; should be a worthwhile gathering :)

I am planning to come along to this event but the BX won't be highly polished! Do we just turn up or pre-book?

Brian.

And window seals Tim? I'll try and remember to bring the mirror seal. Was wondering about swapping doors but maybe another time, save us both having to cart doors about!

May well be up for a borrow of the sphere tool, if I haven't replaced any on mine before then.

Ok mate I will put it in the back of the car, the aim is that Owen S and myself will be there in the GT, so have we rear of the car free, so could bring the drivers door over if you wanted, andthe bumper etc.

Will any of the "technically minded" people be on site? the only reason I ask is Jon Sandersons 19TGD depseratly needs new spheres, I can fit the front ones but not so sure about the rears.

Thanks

The 'X' Rally..... There could be a problem with this!

Post by oilybox »

I've just looked at the website for Burghley House, and apparently the house is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, although the gardens are open, the only event listed in their calendar is the wine and food market.... Can someone confirm whether the house will be accessible to visitors such as ourselves on the day of the rally?

Matt and 'The Meteor'....

Where did you see that?

From the website:

"The House is open from Saturday 17th March to Sunday 28th October 2012 daily (except Fridays) from 11am to 4.30pm with guides in the rooms to answer any questions that you may have."

Funnily enough, on their website.... Maybe I misread it, but what I saw didn't say anything about guides or anything...

Well they could have updated it. No worries. Just so long as they don't change it again

I might well pop over, assuming my guests leave for the Guernsey ferry promptly in the morning :D
