I hope to be there reasonably early, it'd be handy if someone could show me how to change the gearbox oil so that i can actually do it on site

If you haven't done it by the time I arrive I'll show you, but best done whilst warm. Handy tip - make sure the filler plug comes undone before draining the old oil! Never had a problem with a BX or similar, but caught out once before...

ok here's my proposal for the BX site area

I think its enviromentally important to keep all the fluids in seperate areas

anything Iv'e missed ?

Is that plan to scale

You need to move the petrol area and combine it with the GTI / 16v area then make the existing petrol area into the diesel overflow car park

Nah you wont need a parking area for diesels until late in the afternoon.

It'll tale them that long to get there

Cheers Mat, what size spanners will i need? I'll remember to bring my oil catching tray & some pop bottles to fill up the gunky oil with so that i can recycle it.

Dunno offhand - think 22mm for the filler plug from memory. But the correct sizes will be in my toolbox

This inspired me to start drawing THE map to end all maps. Then I got interrupted by my boss. With work (how unREASONABLE). But it was an ace map. It had the BX Club area to the far east. Then a DMZ with a moat and crocodiles (they may have been alligators, I can't draw for shite). Then a minefield. Then a triple razor wire barbed fence. Then some men with BFGs and Rottweilers (they may have been Alsatians or Dobermanns, I can't draw for shite). Then a multitude of warning signs like "Here be polishers". Then "everyone else" in a tiny weeny strip on the west of the picture.

I haven't got a scanner at home, you'll all just have to use your imagination
