A few pics from today:
Timex and friends
When was the last time estates out numbered hatches
Bloody turbo diesels - the relief valve's in there somewhere
I think those wheel nuts are a bit tight!
Managed to dodge the thunder storms for long enough to get a few jobs done on most vehicles. A good event that's worth repeating

When I left they were discussing some more tinkering first thing in the morning, with possibly a trip out later on

Definitely worth doing again! Next time I want to be doing, not just watching. Big thanks to Rich for arranging it and to Imogen for the fabulous food. Great to see everyone, thanks to Andy for the glove box and for fixing my clock, and big thanks to all "those who know how" for showing us how it's done.

Looks like fun. Wish I was there Remember; if you take a car to pieces make sure there are no bits left over when you put it back together again.

I showed my face for a few hours, managed to do a bit of spannering on the GT, the fog lamps kinda now work, then off to a big hill for a bit of walking!
Thanks to Rich for organising it, was good to see Artic Steel again.

Was a reet grand weekend. Many thanks to Rich for putting it on, his secret wife (we never actually saw her, just enjoyed her cooking!) and everyone who turned up. Was great fun tinkering and dodging thunderstorms and a nice little drive and walk today. Photos to follow...

Major cardboard leak.
Yay! BX reunion! (after all of a week)
Interesting sky.
Sunshine.
Catsinthewelder ponders a problem during a rain break.
Clee Hill this morning.
From a distance...
Posing with the view.

Re: Tech Weekend Ludlow, August 24/25/26th
So, Saturday got off to a really good start when, whilst driving along the 973 mile stretch of M1 with 50 mph average speedcheck roadworks, I realised (whilst comforting myself with how much economising I was doing on diesel) that I had forgotten my toolbox. Having carefully packed *everything else* I needed and quite a lot I didn't. Oh well.
Things learned this weekend:
- I need to Have Words with Rob about his mechanics realising that a 12 stone woman being able to stand on a wheelbrace and not loosen the wheelnut concerned may mean that there's a bit more than 65 lb/ft torque being used ...
- Citroen just chucked all the parts in a turbo diesel engine bay and jumped up and down on the bonnet a bit to make it shut. It's quite crowded in there ...
- Ian is awesome (thanks )
- I can probably do things up tight enough that they don't fall off again after having a go myself.
More pix:
The towbar now works
Rain stops play, but not Mike's apparently endless stream of hair-raising tales ...
oops, forgot to take 'before' pictures - this is 'during'. They were MUCH FILTHIER than this to start with and ended up cleaner
The amazing Ian and his kryptonite (Tesco's exploding strawberry cream tart)
How many BX clubbers does it take to change a foglight bulb?
Tim's idea of the car park from HELL (how I laughed. I'm a bitch like that)
Gorgeous view.
Gorgeous view.
The old people got a head start (3 months ago I would have never have got up that hill ~smug grin)
Thanks again to Rich for being a super host and Imogen for equally super catering - hope this will become a regular event.

Re: Tech Weekend Ludlow, August 24/25/26th
I carried on spannering when I got home, found that the exhaust blow was down to one of the manifold bolts being very loose and one needed nipping up, anyway, normal service is resumed, two new fog lamp bulbs ordered off eBay!

I am complaining about having to log into Facebook to look at people's photos that they don't post on here

Sorry Sandre. Was worried about being repetitious so didn't put all my pics up here. You've got another friend request now so you'll have to log in again.

Oh well I think we can call that a success then
Thankyou very much to everyone who came, it wouldn't have been the same without any one of you.
I don't think we damaged anything so hopefully we can run it here again, if not I'm sure we'll find somewhere as I'm well up for another. Next time I'll try and avoid a bank holiday weekend just after an enormous international Citroen gathering and book drier weather.
