I wish it was just plumbing needed! I have to strip back the plaster to bare walls and seal them to stop damp getting in from the hillside it butts up to.

Oh, and replace this beam which looks a tad rotten. Looks to be supporting the roof, oh joy.

Back OT, Kidderminster sounds good. Geographically fairly central, and only just over 100 miles from me! No excuse!

I'm liking the sound of this, I would love to understand more of what goes on in my BX's engine and would meet some like minded enthusiasts too. Happy with tinkering and drinkering but only really have experience in the latter.

With regards to Kidderminster, I seem to remember a camp site a few miles up the road at Stourport that has a rally field with discounts for block bookings
That sounds good, I'll have to investigate. Don't feel you need to bring a BX especially if you'd be interested in helping the newbies. I bet there'd be a few of us who'd like a look at your GS or Ami :D

This is the camp site I was thinking of:

http://www.lickhillmanor.co.uk/display. ... Page=rally" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Rally fees seem to be £8 a night (£10.60 with electric hookup), and the site looks suitable for a major rally, let alone a tech weekend!

I'd certainly be up for coming and helping out if I'm not working - I don't have lots of experience with BX's specifically, but have spent half my life rescuing and fixing a variety of vehicles.

Perfectly safe. Everyone knows that power tools and water are a dangerous combination, so I wouldn't do anything that stupid...

Thanks for that citsandcycles, I boshed off an e-mail to them and heres the reply (note, I don't think they're refering to the Citroen Car Club)
lickhill manor wrote:Hi Richard. Car Clubs are not usually are sort of thing.
Are customers are mostly families even on the rally field.
We only do rallies for CCC and have been booked for 1-2 years in advance.
With only 1 or 2 exceptions but they are camper vans owner clubs.
Regards Isabell

I wasn't feeling too hopefull as they ban car repairs on site within thier rules (unless you call the AA)

If all else fails I should be able to rent the sports field at my work in Ludlow town centre.

"are" customers....
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

I'm definitely up for this, but as has been discovered with one test example, I suspect most campsites won't be in to a load of old cars having oil changes on their grass.

There must be somewhere that would have us though.

Hmmm.

All I need to do is persuade Lana to go away for a weekend, and you can all come round here...

Would she not vacate the premises fairly quickly if you were completely open about inviting us all round? :D

She may also vacate the relationship after what happened the last time!

Ha ha, oh dear! Well, you'll just have to say something about how dangerous it would be to stay in the house for the time in which you replace said dodgy beam...
