I too am an annoying vegetablearian, so I'll bring some eaty type stuff, although beer and diet coke is all anyone really needs to survive..

I can "teach" anything anyone wants really, although lectrickery isn't a strong point, but mechanicals are no problem.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Mat/Doc/Ian
Thanks for offering to teach stuff, I know my way around car repairs but am certainly not a BX expert.

Veggie types
Ms C says shes more than happy to cater for you if needed.

OK, think I picked up the latest version of the list and have updated correctly - hope so. Sorry for the delayed response, jury is still out as to whether the light at the end of the tunnel is still some fucker with a torch bringing me another wheelbarrow full of shit, but I can at least contemplate life beyond the next fortnight. Anyway, I'm in, and thanks very much cats ( & Mrs C) for arranging and hosting :D. I eat most foods. I shall also bring cake. You can never have too much cake.

Cheers for the update Caffiend (and sorry you can't make it Tim), I know what you mean about stressful weeks, I'm not even sure I'll still be a BX owner by the time this happens.

I have just been given my rota for that weekend and I have been given the shift of doom. . . . Sunday morning (well all day Sunday actually but it is an early start). I still plan to come down for the Saturday and can hopefully leave late evening, childcare allowing. Is the plan still to arrive on the Friday evening because I would prefer to do that than to drive down and back on Saturday. As it looks like it will be just me coming for one night and not the family for a weekend away, I might try sleeping in my car rather than faffing about with a tent so would be very grateful for some catering if that's ok.

Plan is to meet up Friday night, I should finish work at 4.30pm so that seems a sensible time to say the gates are open (though you're welcome to park up and go for a wander round town if you're early).

Sleeping in your car isn't a problem, I find my BX very comfortable when I use the cushions from my camper in it and I'm over 6' tall and you shouldn't miss much by not being there Sunday.

+1. Getting a holiday booked of work the week after, so I'll try and get there Friday night for Saturday.

Should be able to make an appearance on Friday, but will probably have to bugger off on Saturday morning. Will try and help in the evening but might be more of a social visit than a tech visit!

Could have just done that at Stratford the following weekend. Or is no-one going this year?

I'm a possible, not a definite. Family commitments etc.....

Plus its 180 miles away from me, which I didn't realise. What's the plan?

Matt, it'll be good to see you even if only for Friday night.

Kitch, the plans on the first post but the basic idea is that most of the 'teching' is on the Saturday with a couple of the more experienced folk teaching the newbies how to look after thier car. the idea is that those of us in the middle ground ability wise can tinker with our own cars knowing that the wiser folk are nearby if we get stuck.

I'm happy to put you down as a 'maybe' and if we do see you then great :D

It works for old VW camper vans as they're a good deal simpler to maintain yourself than a clueless mechanic at a garage would have you think. I just thought that a similer description could apply to BX's

As some of you may have spotted my own BX has expired, now I'd be right up for dropping a new engine into him if the shell was solid but unfortunatly the bulkhead and A pillars are really quite bad so hes sat at my local scrapyard. If anyone is after bits I'm happy to hold onto them until the tech weekend but please ask by PM or in the breaking thread so we don't clutter this one up.
