Beaulieu Motor Musrum.

Post by mds141 »

Would anyone be interested in a weekend/two day visit to the Beaulieu motor museum. I've always wanted to go, but it's a long way to go for just a day, so I was considering a two day visit. I've looked on the Travelodge website and a double room is £38 per night. I plan to avoid the school holidays if at all possible. Any interested parties?

I'd be up for that! Was miffed I had to miss the French car day there last summer. I'm roughly and hour and a half away so could potentially offer a sleeping space for a limited number of people traveling far?

2 hours for me, happy to offer S/F* & B to anyone who wants to a) go b) save accommodation costs c) break a long journey and possibly d) car share the rest of the way and save on diesel/pez. People living in Wales excluded from this offer, not because I'm racist, but because it would be silly for them to overnight in Stevenage for this one.

Anything under 200 miles is a nearby meet for me, even Gaydon was a 300 mile round trip! But that's my fault for living in the back of beyond.

Same here mate. Mind you I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. To wake up in a morning and be greeted with the magnificence of the Lake District more than makes up for the slight inconvenience of living so far north. :)

I'll pass thanks. £10 per adult - that's half the normal admission fee but still eye-watering. I'd rather spend my spondoolies at La Vie en Bleu at the Prescott Hillclimb. A favourite event.

If they run it like last year, I believe the £10 entry also included camping in the grounds the night before.

Last year was brilliant, I followed Hilary's 4x4 down in the GS, to discover I had the only one there, got to see lots of rare french kit (2 Facel Vegas, a Rancho and a nice Simca 1200 Estate!) then tried to help a Broken Simca on the way home!

Will definately go, but I'm not sure what in, or whether it'll be 1 day or 2.
