Well that was bloody great, 1900 troubled free miles in the GT, averaged early 30's mpg wise as it was a lot of climbing.

I forgot how big, quiet and smooth france is, wish i was still there!

And I'd echo everything Tim said apart from a trouble free GTi - burnt out wiring loom to the cooling fan which made life "interesting" running two days without it. I'd also add that it was great bunch of people to tour with. So big thanks to Phil C for organising and Phil B for rebuilding my wiring loom.

A bit of burnt wire on one car I still think I'd a triumph overall! Every car made it which I think is a testament to what a good car the BX still is.

For those who want a different view of some of the best days of this years Challenge, stages 17-19 (19-21 July) of the Tour de France will be of interest. Possibly explains why we saw so many cyclists out and about, and all credit to them given I was struggling to get much more than 25mph out of the GTi on some of the mountain climbs! Worth it though!
