Well, my BXagon report will be in Classic Car Weekly next week. You've seen more pics here than I could cram on two pages though!

Just back from France.
Great seeing you BXagon guys around my neck of the Alps. Shame the col du Galibier was closed on the day you passed through.

My sickly BX had some garage attention in Montpellier and they managed to kick a bit of life back into it.
So I was then able to drive it back to Briancon a few days later. It ran hesitantly but only stalled once. A great improvement on before.
I have left it in my local Renault garage to have the tank removed and cleaned out on a best efforts basis.
Lets hope they don't wreck the tank when they remove it !!!ff.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

Glad to hear you got the BX home at least. I hope the Citroenistes at Montpellier didn't fleece you too much!

I reckon if we hadn't had to drive through what felt like 4 and a half hours of canal surfing you're GTi might've never exhibited such problems. Please let us know how it goes on the BX front. In the meantime I can only share what I know everyone thought: it was great that you were able to meet up with us and that morning in Montpellier was a really welcome experience: please thank your friends for their hospitality.

I have a few photos to e-mail to you...

Yes we did have a mk1
It was Andy's AKA Arctic steel
And it was absolutely fantastic it went like a GT should and considering Andy left a day later than the rest and drove his heart out to catch us up he was a great chap to have along.(if a little knackered for a few day's)
Andy and the two Matt's were braver than the rest of us to go swimming in the Atlantic.
We all had such a great time and saw so many different sides to France.
We also proved to everybody that the BX is a great car.
And that they all coped with all the terrain and came out the other end riding a whole lot better than when we started.
I think i can speak for all of us that took part in this adventure that we will remember it for the rest of our lives.
Every day we had something amazing happen that made the tough bit's seem insignificant.
If at some point in the future this gets repeated count me in now as it was truly amazing

Regards Kermit :) :)
