Retromobile 2009

Post by nstarmore »

I know its unlikely since it's in France and current price of the euro etc(I can't really afford it myself but screw it, I'm going anyway) but anyone else going to retromobile this year. I'm off to Paris weekend after next for my first time and since my french is far from brilliant it would be nice to meet someone else who speaks anglais especially from here?

Can't do it this year, but I have been before - highly recommended. It's quite an international show, so there will be plenty of English-speakers about. Have a great time!

Ahh thats a shame I'm going on the first weekend and I'm going with Geoff as well, in the Xantia though (snore). Judging by the video i've just seen on the website I've picked the wrong weekend as the autojumble type effort is when you go

Just spotted this after the event. Sadly this coincided with lack of funds and my daughter's return from Paris for a few days back in blighty.

Did you make it? I went a couple of years ago and had a really good day, though couldn't match my co-attendees who were welcomed with open arms onto certain stands to discuss the finer points of Dubonnet suspension and obscure 1920 V12 engines...

Autojumble for the BX was a no-no 2 years ago - the specialist parts sellers just about made it into the 1970s and no further, but the Gazoline smagazine tand was well worth a visit to browse through & buy back issues.
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.
