A couple of snaps from the weekend:

Magnecore leads and big battery now fitted on the grey car. Tried switching a few bits between the two to test, but the white car still won't start. Something will be happening soon... :?

Did you try swopping the CAS per chance?

Is it just me, or is the stat housing bleed screw an actual screw!?
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Not between the two cars... I didn't want to knacker the grey one too  Although I now have a spare taken off a running car, to try on the white one.

And yes, it is a screw - a rather large one at that. Do you know if the housing with the right screw is still available? It's water tight, and seems to work, but would be nice to see it right.

Hi Matt

The leads on my old 16v were new in my ownership (so done about 1500 miles) and genuine bourgecor (I cant remember how you spell it) ones and were very pricey so dont throw them!

I think the stat housing is the same as the ZX Volcane housing, and was still available a few weeks ago yes.

That's good, it needs a new thermostat anyway. Might fit my new hose kit at the same time :)

That screw was in there when I got it, and very useful for bleeding the system so left it alone.

some valvers had a bleed screw housing, some didn't. Mine doesn't, but my old one did.. I'm sure the ZX one form the XU9J2, or possibly the XU10 had the same (with bleed) housing.

Yeah, but it's not the 'proper' screw ;), which should be a cap head with a copper(?) washer underneath to seal.

later ones were plastic thumb wheel things, that worked, once. Then usually just snapped off!
