Days of not smoking: 3 (nearly)
Additional calories eaten: Not too bad actually, consciously making an effort not to substitute food for the ciggies, which is probably why I'm so fucking bad-tempered
Money saved: about a tenner. That and several others looooong gone on car repairs
Concentration level: 0
Tolerance for any kind of fuckwittery/random stupidity/minor annoyance: minus several million

I wish it would stop raining so I could go and do some more on the car :(

I taught in a Catholic College once where an old Jesuit told me that everytime he thought about sex he just learned another language - he could speak nine languages! :D An african tribal language with a small vocabulary might be a good starting point; one with no word for 'cigarette'!! :D

He only thought about sex nine times?!

Good luck quitting Sandre. A tenner every 3 days should be some kind of incentive I'd have thought?

Well, that was a while ago. He's probably thought about it a couple more times since then! Anyway, must dash, it's either a cold shower or the past participle of Bulgarian irregular verbs for me! :D

Пушени, пушени, той / тя / то пушени, пушени, те пушени ...

Nup, not working (possibly because it's not an irregular verb, darn)

Thanks Mat & Ray - reckon it'll be this time next year before those tenners actually feel like extra money though - but my TZD (like me) is totally worth it :D

best of luck! I've tried quitting about 3000000000 times, the only time i actually managed 4 weeks without a smoke I was in a coma, so I'm not sure that counts..
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Today I am mostly eating everything in sight, but am having severe difficulties with the carrot sticks as the effing things won't stay lit.

Day 6, approx 80 cigs not smoked, body count still 0.

Yes very good luck with quiting. The first 3 weeks are the hardest, it's not easy but well worth it. Try packing in something else at the same time to help take your mind off smoking and blame the other. I packed in sugar and smoking 7 years ago and took up Scuba diving with the money saved, I haven't smoked or taken sugar since and absolutely love the scuba diving. Win win!

Good going Sandre. As I said to you at the Northern, just think of all the money you can waste on other things!! Hopefully Citroen shaped! :)
