Enjoy your weekend! It's not far from us (we're near Blaenau Ffestiniog) but we'll be in Liverpool this weekend. Where are you staying?

We stayed in a cottage just outside Nefyn. Absolutely beautiful, walked on the beach on Saturday and the rest of the time just chilled and ate way too much fabulous food and drank a little too much wine. Passed a turn off for Blaenau Ffestiniog on the way home this afternoon. I loved the driving, fantastic scenery, very little traffic and no potholes!

Not happy today. I did a 20 mile round trip to take my mum homeso that she could go to see my nephew in his first school play in the morning (she had been at mine to provide childcare), lost a wheel trim somewhere on the way so did the 20 mile round trip again to try and find it (no luck). Just had a call to say that nephew is ill so won't be in the play after all and so my brother won't be bringing her back to mine tomorrow to do childcare tomorrow evening. I now have to do the 20 mile round trip again before work tomorrow to collect her. I am very grateful to my mum for looking after Nathan for me so that I can go to work but all the driving to and fro (she won't use public transport since an illness 2 years ago caused her to lose her confidence in walking and she doesn't like taxis) sometimes really gets to me. Its like an extra hours commute on top of what I have to do anyway, and all to earn an NHS pittance.

Rant over.

I know how you feel Jane , I have to take the boys to Dunstable for school so that's two 32 mile round trips each day and I can't even claim for the first 30 miles ,that means I get 13 and a half quid a day and spend a tenner a day in petrol.

Ooops, thought I'd broken down this morning but had left it in "drive" with all the excitement of the day. Luckily not actually broken down though and home safely now. :D

Last night I dreamed that someone drove into the side of my car! I was gutted, and the car wasn't too good either. So happy when I realised that it wasn't real.

Lucky for you it was just a dream. I had the reality, woke up this morning to be greeted with a buggered rear passenger door... (see my TXD blog).

How's your BX coming along Jane, hope your water problems were solved?

Tom, that's almost exactly the same damage that was done in my dream but to the opposite side. I know exactly how you feel, although in my dream I was in the car at the time. Haven't been out in the dark yet to check out the electrics, once I get on the sofa in front of the fire it's hard to move. I have just been avoiding puddles for now. I have a spray bottle ready for testing though (non metallic).

Gary that looks awful. Hope you got the person who did that and have made them pay.

This reminds me of a limerick;

There was a Bohemian monk
who went to bed in a bunk
He dreamt that Venus was doing something or other
and I can't remember the last bit.
(probably just as well) :shock:
