Collected the car this Saturday, still felt under the weather with this blasted cold, but fought through it to pick up Blaze :) What has she had done since last time, brand new clutch, water leak fixed along with a replacement octopus fitted as it was leaking. Blowing exhaust fixed & peter kindly retro-fitted a new end pipe onto the back box, so it at least looks like it might be one fitted to the car. Speedo cable sorted, until i drove it for a bit & then it was acting up again, hmm, a re-think on this. The dash had to come out in order for the cold air to blow correctly, whilst the a/c system was removed as it was non functioning & not only weighed a ton but added to extra complication when trying to fix certain issues on the car. Idle speed appears to be sorted now :), although starting whilst slightly better is still a bit shit? All in all, great to have her back & burning rubber again ;)

Car's back at Barry's to have the water leak (possibly the roof ariel?) the other rear arm bearing needs doing as its creaking at the back. Oil temp guage stopped working, probably a loose wire. Hopefully the rear wash wipe can be fixed as well, its not worked in a while. Clutch cable needs a bit of adjustment as it judders when setting off, so hopefully it'll be a bit more pleasant to drive. Starting whilst cold is still an issue, however i've had some hot starting problems as well? Psgr mirror has seized, so that needs sorting as well as i can't get it at the right angle to see cars :(. The metal heater pipe at the back of the engine has a broken bracket, so a replacement needs sorting (cable tied at the mo) to stop it from flapping about. Thats probably about it for the mo.

Oh, forgot to mention that when i went round a roundabout quickly, the engine went down on power & was quite noisy, so possibly an electrical problem as it cleared up within a minute of it happening, & not experienced it again, perhaps the connectors need a clean?

Oil temp gauge is probably the wire, it's just a ring terminal. Your clutch judder won't be the cable though, it'll be the actual clutch (unless you mean the cable is sticky, and comes up in installments!)

Other rear arm bearing done, new discs & pads for the rear fitted as the old one's were squeeling for some reason? Aeriel mount re-sealed. Front drain tubes are blocked & someone has removed the sunroof motor & wiring, so thats going to be a bit ackward to get at :( There's a bit of movement on the steering, its the rubber disc thingy thats worn out, luckily i've got a spare power steering one, so it'll have to visit Barry again.

Back from the chevrons rally, pleased that blaze could keep up with an audi a4 2.7tdi, i thought it would have blasted away from me, but it didn't, good engine in this car :)

There is usually a hexagonal crank to open the roof clipped inside the external plastic cover for the motor and central locking.

Last thursday coming home from work, the steering got stiff & then the STOP lamp came on, brakes were a bit dead as well, thought i might be low on lhm, so pulled into layby & topped up the lhm tank. Noticed that the hydraulic pump pulley was rattling & moving a lot more side to side than it should. Managed to get it to a local garage driving slowly. Luckily i'd bought that spare pump from Kitch last year & got it fitted for £35, so not too bad. The old pump pulley had sheared off, so whilst it turned it wasn't actually turning the pump at all. I've kept it incase i can get it repaired, the pulley material where it had broken is quite thin anyway, so i'm surprised they don't break more frequently. I'll probably post up some piccies on facebook when i get a mo.

Sounds like you had a good result from a potential catastrophe there. Did the struts maintain sufficient residual pressure to prevent grounding as you limped back?
