No comprende!
You dont have to remove the rear seats to replace the pipe.
Infact, just tipping the O/S squab up is all you need to do.
Nor would you need to drop the tank.
Use th old pipe as a guide for the new, push some wire through the old one, then through the new bit, tied securley at the end, then oull the new one through using the old one. 20 mins tops.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

OK, leak of LHM is slowly but surely increasing, so when I get back from France I'll have to sort it. I think it's octopus, but I have a new one coming...

Fuel line to do and spheres to replace. Steering rack boot to fit...

Double check and then MOT mid-September.

Then, assuming it is all OK, I have to consider how I am going to get a road trip in the BX sorted! I MUST do another BXagon stylee jobbie one day soon. The urge is just too great...

Ha! I guess it must be something like that. Got me thinking about my Citroen 'fetish'...

I can't explain it very well, but it's all tied up with Frenchness, oddity/quirkiness and individuality as well as the fact I happen to believe the BX is THE great unsung hero of mainstream automotive history!

LHM and oil leaks fixed, although there's still a very slight weep from the pressure regulator. The FDV's OK, so I think I'll live with it. It hasn't dripped petrol from the pipe above the fuel pump/filter for a while, but I will look at that after it gets (hopefully) its new MOT next month.

I'm fairly sure I have a decent used PR kicking about if you want it Phil?

Good luck with the MoT, I'm doing fairly well with MoT's lately, 3 BX's in three weeks straight through..
Another one in next week, and it isn't mine, so I guess that'll ruin the perfect score this year!

Thanks for the offer! How much work is involved in swapping it over?

Not much mate, it's only held to the car with 3 11mm bolts..
The rest is just pipes..

The sort of thing thats easy enough to do, say, at Stratford at 2am after a skinful (weather dependant of course, I may like drowning in alcohol, but water is another matter entirely!)..

And where would you bolt that on the front bumper or straight on the bonnet, would a pair not be more asthetically pleasing

Oh, a nice pair is always aesthetically pleasing, but I thought we were talking about a floodlight

Why stop at two? (Check out my avatar)...

As I won't actually be at Stratford, and if I could go, it'd probably be in the XM, I'll have to muddle through post-MOT. I'll give you a shout, Chris when I need to take you up on your offer :)
