I know what you mean - 18 months ago I was teaching in Moscow, then we moved to Malta, then back to England, Nat moved to Moscow, then she moved to Leeds, and she'll go back to Moscow in June. Meanwhile I'm trying to find a job in Malta, but would also take something here, though it's not very likely, so wtf is next is anyone's guess... :(

I missed that when I was typing my reply! I can safely say that doesn't feature highly on the list of potential career paths...

At least we've been settled in terms of location - I hate moving house. But would consider a move to France in the future at some point.

I think Ray was referring to myself (as I was :) ). Neither of us, I'm sure, would be so presumptions as to include your lovely missus! Now you young man, you could turn a pretty penny with a sailor down this way. Not so sure about Ray, maybe there's a market for bears ? Teehhee

Don't worry about the recession - it's a blessing in disguise, which is why you won't hear many Greens moaning about reduced consumption, higher fuel prices an' all that ;) Bless!

Edit: spelling idiocy

Have I reached "Bear" status? Cheer me up, why don't you?

When I was in the resident band of a Hull club many moons ago, I had arrived, unpacked my guitar, and left it to warm up on the stand on stage while I went for a pint. Whilst leaning against the bar, I overheard 2 guys behind me talking about "that girl at the bar with the curly hair and the nice arse". It took me a moment or 2 to realise that the only person at the bar...was me!

When I turned and walked back through the lounge to the stage the look on their faces was priceless! I think the beard helped...:D

 I've been in that siltation too, but on the unfortunate side….I've never felt so dirty as when I realised!

On the plus side, I did get a smile from an attractive (to my tastes at least) girl in Spar today, which was nice. Perhaps it says a lot about the amount of attractive females in Wales, if I feel the need to specifically mention seeing one? :?

Bear is surely a complement Ray, I can think of animals I'd much rather less be (and have been) called...

I've definitely been called worse :).

You don't need to mention seeing attractive females in Wales - you see one first thing in the morning and last thing at night - that matters more than anything else.

You need to move to Aberyswyth Mat. Drool-city when the University is in term. Though I tell Rachel I like to visit town for the sea air rather than the birds...

Been busy on the van recently - fitted an internal water tank

Image

fed from an external filler (hope I don't get it muddled with the diesel filler)

Image

Today I fitted a gas tank underneath

Image

which handily tucks up out of the way under the floor and doesn't affect ground clearance (in the background you can see a jack supporting the next task, the waste water tank).

Image

The gas tank will be fed (once I have connected it in) from this. Rather fortunately, when located in the same spot on the opposite side as the diesel filler, the gas filler required removal of a rusty section of bodywork

Image

Still some rust to sort out though, it's coming back through the temporary job I did a couple of years ago

The it was time to put the BX to some use, and collect firewood for the week.

Image

All in all, a fairly productive day but as usual, still a million and one things left to do!
