Drivers Door - Mk 2 Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Post by M »

Anyone need one? I was stocking up on doors when the Mother In Law had this vendetta against me once over - but now no longer have a Xanty.

Emerald Green off a P plate Activa - glass & electric motor all there, door trim missing.

Its in Preston if anyone can make use of it.

Marty, awfully sorry for being a Xant pedant but a "P" plate will be a MK I :P

The FCF once had a long, long thread about Xantia Marks but the conclusion was there are only two, MK I up to '98 and thenceforth the MK II "facelift" that looks like an overgrown Xsara from the front.

It's a worthwhile point Jim raises as MK1 + MK2 doors are different on the inner shell, with the door cards being incompatable.

Sorry to disagree, but the mk1 has two different marks.
I put a m reg door on a n reg car once and it was 5mm to short at the b pillar.
Same door fitted a L reg car perfectly, annoying as the n reg was mine and the l reg wasn't.
They go on ok, but the gap they leave is ugly.
Also the n reg car has a wider windscreen than the l reg car.
A 20" wiper (n/s) fits the n reg perfectly whereas on the l reg a 20" sticks out to far and a 19" fits perfectly.
